How do you create collateral that sticks in the brains of visionary world travelers who love a good deal? Concise, punchy copy that promotes spontaneity, variety, and potential. Plus, posing a question about jaunting off on that dream getaway and crafting a catchy “Say Hello To Red” headline. And, of course, collaborating with a rockstar designer who finds a hero shot our demographic sees in their dreams—and on their vacations.

Collaborating with a CD on the Super Fun Fact posts yielded quirky insights from across the land. For this post, I incorporated a questioning technique, but made certain to provide an answer that coincided with the image and highlighted two very interesting facts: Yes, the Hollywood sign once read as Hollywoodland. And, that it remained so until 1949. Lots of fun creating these.

Ambition, momentum, and reaping the rewards of working hard—just a few of the prompts for the Wingate brand. These cues, and the theory of work/life balance, compelled me to focus on the idea of a good deal, and incorporate fun language hinting at working and playing, all in one trip.
The Super 8 brand is all about spontaneity. Hitting the road for adventure, but having that reliable destination for rest and relaxation at the end of the day—wherever you roam. The client wanted interesting sites along the road, not just destination curiosities. So this areal shot of a cloverleaf interchange was exactly what they wanted. We also wanted to inject the fun spirit of road trip games with a little bit of trivia. Always fun and interesting with Super 8.
The Ramada target audience is well traveled, decisive, appreciates a good deal, and is deeply involved in their destination. They want to know the stuff only locals and savvy travelers know. So featuring this world-famous Christmas bazaar really pleased the client. And including how to toast in the native tongue was the icing on the tortas.
